Vitamin C, Chelation, Myer's Push, L-Glutathione, and Hydrogen Peroxide

Please note: Our office requires an initial consult with our provider to obtain medical history and current health conditions before any IV will be given. No exceptions.

Intravenous Therapy (IV) can be used in a variety of ways to supply necessary minerals and nutrients to the body very rapidly. Intravenous simply means "within vein", therefore IV Therapy is the infusion of liquid substances directly into a vein. With IV Therapy, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients are administered directly into the bloodstream through an IV drip. It is a safe, powerful and innovative therapy that supports the resolution of numerous health problems such as infections, fatigue, heart disease and even cancer. Riverbend Integrative Medicine utilizes special blends of nutrients and minerals depending on a patients needs – such as an IV of immune boosting nutrients during an infection.

Chelation therapy is a highly effective treatment for clearing heavy metals, excess calcium, and artery-damaging chemicals from the bloodstream. It involves IV injections of a chelating agent, EDTA, a synthetic amino acid. EDTA binds to heavy metals and minerals in the blood so that they can be excreted in the urine.
IV Therapies: Chelation, Ozone, Meyer's Cocktail, Hydrogen Peroxide, UBIThough chelation therapy can reduce the production of free radicals by an estimated million-fold, it is also used in cases other than heavy metal poisoning. Chelation with EDTA can also be used to treat atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) by reopening arteries clogged with plaque. They maintain that using chelation for this purpose is an effective and less expensive alternative to coronary artery bypass surgery, angioplasty, and other conventional medical treatments (ref).

Building on the work of the late John Myers, MD, the author has used an intravenous vitamin-and-mineral formula for the treatment of a wide range of clinical conditions. The modified “Myers’ cocktail,” which consists of magnesium, calcium, B vitamins, and vitamin C, has been found to be effective against acute asthma attacks, migraines, fatigue (including chronic fatigue syndrome), fibromyalgia, acute muscle spasm, upper respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis, seasonal allergic rhinitis, cardiovascular disease, and other disorders (ref).
